Discover the Health Benefits of the Max Coco Bar

Probiotics are healthy bacteria in the gut which impact healthy digestion and overall health.1 Prebiotics, on the other hand, are a type of fiber which essentially serve as food for the probiotics and help them grow.2 Optimal gut health consists of a diet rich in both probiotics and prebiotics, to populate the gut bacteria and also encourage healthy growth.

Max Coco Bar is an ideal fiber-rich snack. Many snack bars are high in sugar, carbohydrates, or contain artificial sweeteners, but Max Coco Bar is naturally sweetened and has a low glycemic index. Max Coco Bar is also delicious, with a familiar chocolate-coconut taste you will love.

Scientific Support

The gut is heavily involved in promoting optimal overall health. The gut is linked to and affects the brain, immune system, and other processes in the body.3 Inside the gut lives about trillions of bacteria, viruses, and fungi, all which are collectively known as gut microbiota.4 Some of these bacteria are harmful, but many of them are good, healthy bacteria, also known as probiotics.5 These probiotics play a large role in proper digestion, elimination, and other bodily functions.6

Not only are consuming probiotics important for gut health, prebiotics are also critically important. Prebiotics act as food for the probiotics to grow and thrive, allowing them to properly populate.7 Prebiotics are a type of fiber. Max Coco Bar contains prebiotics in the form of inulin and larch arabinogalactan, along with other nutritious ingredients to supply a healthy, nutritious snack.

  • Allulose is a natural sweetener with about 1/10 the calories of sugar. It doesn’t have a glycemic index, making it suitable for low-carb diets.8
  • Coconut is not only delicious but also contains many important nutrients. Of these nutrients, healthy fats are the most prevalent.9
  • Inulin is a prebiotic and soluble fiber. Inulin is naturally present in plants, such as chicory root.10 Prebiotic fibers, like inulin, help feed probiotics and allow them to populate.
  • Larch arabinogalactan is another prebiotic fiber included in Max Coco Bar. Larch arabinogalactan may help benefit digestion, gut health, and the immune system.11
  • Tocotrienols are a potent antioxidant in the vitamin E family and are rarely found in supplements or bars. Recent research is finding that tocotrienols may support the health of various systems in the body, including the brain, gut, and heart.12,13
FAQs

Are Max Coco Bars a meal replacement?

Max Coco Bars are not intended to replace a meal. Instead, they can be used as a healthy snack or treat.

What do Max Coco Bars taste like?

Max Coco Bars have a dark chocolate coating with a flaky coconut filling. They taste similar to a common candy bar.

When I deduct fiber and sugar alcohols from carbohydrates to get net carbs, it is equivalent to 11g net carbs. However, the label says 3g net carbs. How does that work?

Since Max Coco Bars are sweetened with allulose, those carbohydrates can be deduced as well. The FDA requires allulose to be listed as a carbohydrate but not as a sugar, but since it doesn’t have a glycemic index it can be deduced when calculating net carbs. Therefore, the calculation looks like this:

    24g carbohydrates - 7g fiber - 6g erythritol - 8g allulose = 3g net carbs.
